About
Alex Calancea Band is a group from the Republic of Moldova led by producer, composer, and bass guitarist Alex Calancea. Their music blends jazz fusion, rock, funk, and Moldovan folk elements, with notable albums such as “The Road to Home” (2012) and “Basul Capricios” (2016). The project earned recognition as Band of the Year and Album of the Year at the Romanian Jazz Gala.
