ATU Winery brings to Chișinău the spirit of a truly urban winery – creative, bold, and authentic. Founded in 2016 right in the heart of the capital, ATU is the first urban winery in Moldova, created by a young and passionate team that turned an industrial space into a workshop for artisanal wines.
About the Winery
ATU means authenticity, freedom, and experimentation. The team doesn’t follow trends — they set them, crafting wines that reflect Moldova’s terroir in a modern and expressive way.
One of ATU’s greatest achievements is the revival of the native grape variety Codrinschii, a unique Moldovan red grape created through the crossing of Rară Neagră and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Through wines like O Scrisoare Pierdută, ATU has proven that Moldova can produce complex, characterful, and deeply local red wines.
