Metafora is the flagship wine of the family-owned Gogu Winery from Căușeni, a stylistic figure in the field of oenology.
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Saperavi (from a vineyard over 60 years old), typically in similar proportions. The wine is traditionally aged for 15 to 18 months in oak barrels, predominantly French.
There have been five successful vintages: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 — all in limited editions.
