A philosophical apartment gathering about humanity, systems, and the digital world.

What has humanity gained through technological progress — and what has it quietly lost along the way?

At this gathering, we will explore the ideas behind the Unabomber manifesto — one of the most controversial texts about modern society. The focus will not be on Ted Kaczynski himself, but on the philosophy of the industrial system, humanity’s dependence on technology, and the gradual loss of inner freedom in a world shaped by comfort, algorithms, and constant control.

The evening is hosted by Evgeniy Tokarski — a philosopher, lecturer in philosophy at the State University of Moldova (USM), and a public speaker working on themes of freedom, technology, and modern society.

Why are people becoming increasingly dependent on the system?
Is it still possible to preserve individuality in the digital age?
And do technologies truly make us freer — or do they merely create the illusion of choice?

This is not an academic lecture, but an open philosophical discussion:
— about freedom and control,
— about the fear of existing outside the system,
— about the nature of progress,
— and about the price behind modern comfort.
