Where are the boundaries of human knowledge? What remains beyond what we are capable of thinking, understanding and expressing?

From the question of the limits of knowledge — to the psychoanalytic issues of the unconscious, subjectivity and the impossibility of definitive knowledge of another person.

In the dialogue between philosophy and psychoanalysis, we will turn to the ideas of Socrates, Kant, Bion, Freud and others. We will try to trace how the philosophical problem of the limits of knowledge becomes a question of what it means to understand another person and to tolerate our own not-knowing.

The meeting will take place in an informal “kvartirnik” format — an intimate space for dialogue, reflection and exchange of ideas.

Evgheni Tokarski, philosopher
Alexandru Gorkovenko, psychoanalytically oriented psychologist

The dialogue will be in russian language.
