Fetească Albă Blind Tasting: The Battle of Aromas
Thursday, July 3 | 7:00 PM
Wine Republic, 86 Alexei Șciusev Street
Ready to challenge your senses?
Join us for a blind tasting dedicated to one of the oldest and most emblematic native grape varieties – Fetească Albă. Guided by our sommelier Vadim Brînzeanu, you’ll discover six different Moldovan wines made from this noble grape, without knowing the producers in advance.
Fetească Albă – the viticultural treasure of our land
This white clone of the Fetească Neagră grape originated in Moldova and has been cultivated here since the Middle Ages, with records dating back to at least the 16th century. It has adapted beautifully to our climate and soils, producing wines with delicate floral aromas, white fruit notes, and balanced acidity.
Though it can be found in other countries such as Romania, Hungary, or Germany, in Moldova it remains one of the most authentic and cherished native varieties, deeply connected to our winemaking heritage.
During the event, you will taste 6 wines blind – guided only by aroma and flavor. At the end of the evening, you’ll vote for your favorite.
A blind tasting is an honest, immersive experience that lets you discover wine with no labels, no expectations – just pure enjoyment.
