The Free Spirit is a collective of Chișinău-based musicians brought together by a shared passion for jazz and improvised music.
The project serves as an umbrella for a growing group of musicians and ensembles, performing in formats ranging from duo and trio to quartet and quintet. Their work explores both the traditional jazz repertoire and original compositions.
The Free Spirit released its debut album, “Stepping Stones,” in March 2025. The musicians are currently working on new albums to be presented in Moldova and abroad, while plans for a future Free Spirit Orchestra are also beginning to take shape.
On July 29, The Free Spirit comes to CULT SPACE as a quartet:
