Pickle Masterclass & Natural Wine Tasting at CASA VIE | Molovata Nouă

Come spend a full autumn day with us in Molovata Nouă, combining adventure, traditional Moldovan food, natural wine and one of the village traditions we want to keep alive.

We’ll start the day with a short hike through the pine forest and visit the impressive old underground limestone mines near the village. The underground network stretches for hundreds of kilometers and is one of the most fascinating hidden places in this part of Moldova.

From there, we’ll visit the Peasants Museum, step inside a traditional Moldovan household and get into the spirit of village life before heading to CASA VIE.

Then we get to work.

Together we’ll learn how to pickle cucumbers, tomatoes and hot peppers using traditional Moldovan family recipes.
Everyone will prepare a jar to take home, while the rest of our work will help fill the CASA VIE pantry with pickles for the year ahead.

This is part of our Clacă initiative and the wider Peasants Museum concept. The idea is simple: come experience village life, learn something useful, work together and leave a little something behind for the people who come after us.

And because this is CASA VIE, there will naturally be Eco Wine of Moldova natural wine to taste along the way.

If the weather is good, after we finish pickling we’ll head to the Nistru for the perfect ending: an evening boat cruise with BBQ on board, good wine and sunset over the river.

This is a small experience with only 10 places available.
