On September 4, 2026, Castel Mimi will host the 9th edition of VinOpera, the International Classical Music Festival and one of Moldova’s signature cultural evenings.
Held in Bulboaca, approximately 40 minutes from Chișinău, the capital of the Republic of Moldova, VinOpera offers international guests the opportunity to discover the country through opera, local wines and one of its most recognized wine destinations.
This year’s edition is dedicated to soprano Valentina Nafornița, who celebrates 15 years of her artistic career. Winner of BBC Cardiff Singer of the World and former member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble, Valentina Nafornița is one of the most acclaimed Moldovan artists on the international opera stage.
Alongside Valentina Nafornița, Ukrainian baritone Iurii Samoilov will perform on the stage in Bulboaca. Having appeared on major international opera stages, he will bring to VinOpera the power and expressiveness of one of the most acclaimed voices of his generation.
The artists will perform alongside the Municipal Orchestra “Camerata Chișinău”, under the baton of maestro Cristian Spătaru.
For guests travelling from abroad, VinOpera can become part of a cultural weekend in Moldova, combining opera, wine tasting, local gastronomy and a visit to Castel Mimi Wine Resort, a destination connected to the country’s winemaking history.
