If "the ending crowns the work," then there is no more suitable concert for concluding the Creative Industries Festival than the combination of Cuibul & Zdob și Zdub.
On June 2, we light up the stage and courtyard of Artcor with the melodies of these two legendary bands:
Cuibul—the longest-standing band in Moldova, with over 33 years of artistic activity and a musical style of rock'n'roll funk fusion.
The band has released over 8 albums in Romanian, Russian, and English. They have performed in several countries around the world, being invited to open for important international names such as The Cardigans and Morcheeba.
Zdob și Zdub is the most popular ethno-rock band in the Republic of Moldova, combining hardcore and Balkan folklore in a unique way.
Zdob și Zdub have shared the stage with numerous world-renowned bands: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Emir Kusturica & No Smoking Orchestra, Biohazard, Rollins Band, Rage Against the Machine, Soulfly, The Garbage, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Linkin Park, and others.
Over the course of more than 20 years, the band has toured in over 30 European countries, performing at the biggest festivals in Europe such as Sziget (Hungary), Roskilde (Denmark), Exit (Serbia), Krefelder Folkfest (Germany), Rock For People (Czech Republic), and more.
In 2005, 2011, and 2022, the band represented Moldova at Eurovision.
