Mihai Sava Wine Tasting: "Wine and Verses - An Evening of Poetry and Tradition"

We invite you to experience a unique evening at the Wine Republic wine cellar, where the passion for authentic wines blends with the charm of poetry. Discover the fascinating world of artisanal wines created with care and dedication by Mihai and Valentina Sava, two winemakers from the village of Costești, who proudly respect Moldovan traditions. On this special evening, they will wear traditional “ie,” bringing to you not only exceptional wines but also a part of the region’s culture and history.

Each glass of wine will be accompanied by poems inspired by the vine and every stage of winemaking, deepening the understanding and appreciation of each wine. "Poetry in every bottle of wine" is the winemakers' credo. Mihai Sava writes verses that breathe life into his traditions and wines. He has a poetry book published, which you will be able to purchase at Wine Republic, titled “Scut de Pace și Iubire” (Shield of Peace and Love), a true treasure of words. He even writes verses about wine:

The Wines of the Tasting:

Bianca, dry white, 2023 – A fresh and elegant wine, with fine aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits, perfect for a cool evening.

Floricica, dry white, 2023 – A delicate wine, with floral notes and a refreshing taste, reflecting the authenticity of the Costești terroir.

Traminer, dry white, 2022 – A balanced wine, with aromas of green apples and pleasant acidity, bringing a touch of freshness to every glass.

Merlot, semi-dry rosé, 2023 – A delicate and velvety wine, with aromas of red fruits and a slight sweetness, delighting the senses with a smooth and elegant texture.

Cabernet Sauvignon, dry red, 2023 – A robust and complex wine, with aromas of blackberries and dark chocolate, offering an intense and memorable experience.

Muscat Ottonel, Ice Wine, 2022 – A sweet wine, with notes of honey, orange flowers, and candied fruits, perfect for finishing the tasting with a refined and elegant note.

Pastoral, 2013 – An old red wine, with remarkable complexity, aromas of ripe fruits, and subtle wood notes, telling a story of time and tradition.
