February 7 | 7:00 PM
Wine Republic – 86 Alexei Șciusev Street
Price: 400 MDL
On winter evenings, when the city slows its pace, wine becomes a reason for dialogue, reflection, and discovery. We invite you to a tasting of wines from the Javgur family winery — wines that speak of time, patience, and the deep connection between people and the land.
Together with Aliona Scutaru, the winemaker and founder of the winery, we will explore the story of an estate born in southern Moldova, in the village of Javgur, where terroir, climate, and experience passed down through generations give rise to sincere, well-structured, and authentic wines.
The tasting follows a balanced journey — from the freshness of white wines to the depth of red blends — with each label clearly expressing the Javgur style.
Wines of the evening:
SCENA – Chardonnay, dry white, 2022
An elegant and well-balanced wine with delicate notes of white fruit and subtle hints of maturity. Its freshness and harmony make it a refined opening to the tasting.
MARIAGE BLANC – Viorica / Pinot Grigio, dry white, 2025
A successful union of aromatic Viorica and refined Pinot Grigio. A vibrant wine with citrus and floral notes, modern and expressive.
SCENA – Pinot Noir, dry red, 2019
Delicate and expressive, with a rounded structure and fine tannins. Notes of red berries and natural elegance define a mature, balanced Pinot Noir.
MARIAGE ROUGE – Fetească Neagră 2023 / Merlot 2022, dry red
A harmonious combination of local tradition and international elegance. A wine with depth, rotungime, and character, built on balance and expression.
Cabernet Sauvignon – dry red, 2020
Powerful and well-structured, with velvety tannins and an intense aromatic profile. A wine that reveals the strength of the variety and the potential of the southern terroir.
SCENA Red Blend – dry red, 2023
An expressive and energetic blend with a clear personality and a long finish. A memorable conclusion to the tasting.
Each of these wines tells a story of the terroir of the Ștefan Vodă region, carefully preserved traditions, and the gentle climate of southern Moldova, where grapes ripen under generous sunshine and are harvested by hand.
This tasting is about wines from a family winery, about conscious decisions in the vineyard and the cellar, about balance and identity. It is an invitation to experience not just wine, but emotions in the bottle, accompanied by stories of family, passion, and winemaking, shared by Aliona Scutaru — an authentic voice of Moldovan wine.
The number of places is limited — only 16 guests.
